Epic journeys
Tour Overview
IN AND AROUND AMIZMIZ
With the village’s geographical situation opening on to four valleys, this gives the possibility of many different lengths of hiking and trekking options, from 2 to 8 day treks, with different levels of difficulty, from easy, through moderate and on to demanding (you can decide the level(s)/mix you wish to take).
On your hiking tour in the Amizmiz area you will pass by many traditional Berber villages and discover their rich culture. you will see their terraced fields and their intricate irrigation systems. You will see herds of goats and cows in the meadows, women bringing grass and wood back to the houses, people working the fields and villagers going to/coming from the weekly market. the human theatre of activity is endless and fascinating. the different seasons present a different set of scenes and events. Our ATS tours, whilst having a planned itinerary, of course, are always sufficiently flexible to allow for unexpected encounters and experiences, things that really make an ATS hiking and trekking trip particularly special, unique and memorable.
