To the north of Marrakech is the Marrakech Plain and its surrounding Jbilat Hills and Mountains.

This is a rural world, a captivating world. This is an intriguing landscape and, surprisingly, an area little visited by tourists; this makes it particularly special.

​The gently rolling countryside is extensively farmed and many traditional Arab villages are dotted around.

Surrounding the farmland are the Jbilat Hills, rounded summits of moderate altitude that offer intriguing geology and silhouettes. Within the hills are fascinating rocky exposures, hidden geological gems that await exploration.

The traditional people here are very friendly, smiling and most welcoming.
