The main sights of Casablanca include :
Hassan II Mosque (only open in mornings until 2pm; a guided tour is available) has 656 feet (200m) high minaret. The interior is lavish with wood, marble and carved stone and with guided ceiling. Standing alone by the waterfront, its magnificence is magnified.
Mohammed V Square leading to the Old City (the “Old Medina”).
The Hobous, Casablanca’s “New Medina”. Built in the 1930's by the French. It is a pleasant place to seek out crafts. It includes an olive, vegetable and spice market.
For a special treat, perhaps consider a visit to Rick’s Café, a café that recreates the famous scene in the legendary film “Casablanca” that starred Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart.
